2. Data We Collect

The System collects and processes the following information:

• Login credentials (username and hashed password) for authentication purposes.
• Financial records entered by authorized users, including transactions, invoices, budgets, tax records, and inventory data.
• Device trust tokens stored locally in your browser to recognize verified devices.
• Session activity data, including login time and failed login attempts, for security monitoring.

3. How We Use Your Data

All data collected is used exclusively for the following purposes:

• To authenticate and authorize access to the System.
• To generate financial reports, insights, and summaries for store management.
• To maintain security through session management and device verification.
• To provide AI-assisted financial analysis when the AI Assistant feature is used.

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal data to third parties outside of the services necessary to operate this System.

4. Data Storage & Security

Financial records are stored in a secured local database. Device recognition tokens and role session data are stored in your browser's localStorage and sessionStorage, which are isolated per browser and device. We implement password hashing, session expiry, and login lockout mechanisms to protect account security.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no system is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

5. AI Assistant

When you use the AI Assistant feature, an anonymized financial snapshot (totals and counts — never raw transaction details or personal credentials) is sent to the configured AI service for analysis. This data is used solely to generate the requested insights and is subject to the provider's privacy policy.

6. User Responsibilities

• You must not share your login credentials with unauthorized persons.
• You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of data you enter into the System.
• Unauthorized access attempts, data tampering, or misuse of the System may result in account suspension.
• You must log out when using a shared or public device.

7. Role-Based Access

Access to features is governed by your assigned role (Admin, Owner, or Cashier). You may only access features and data permitted by your role. Attempting to bypass role restrictions is a violation of these Terms.

8. Cookies & Local Storage

The System uses browser localStorage and sessionStorage — not third-party cookies — to maintain your session and store device trust data. Clearing your browser storage will log you out and remove saved device recognition.

9. Changes to This Policy

RAM-YUM Store reserves the right to update these Terms and Privacy Policy at any time. Continued use of the System after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
